I am looking for a taxidermist to for a Pike mount. Looking for either a taxidermist in the Detroit MI area or would also consider one where I ship out the photos. I have never had a mount created, though I want to get one created for this fish as it was a rather special fish(even though it wasn't a walleye) - it happened to be the largest fish my father ever caught and created one heck of a special memory.

I've used Mike's Taxidermy in Port Clinton for several fish, and was very satisfied with the work.

About how much does it cost to have a walleye mounted ?

I think you're looking at $ 8-9 per inch of fish. Not cheap.

One of the best taxidermists in the Midwest is Ron Lax in Conover, WI. Mounts go (reproductions) for around $12/inch and that's pretty standard.
You can get a good look at them at www.laxreproductions.com. Congrats to your Dad on the big fish!

Use Mikes in Pt. Clinton. He does all my mounts and everyone I know. He did a 44" Muskie for me, 32" Walleye, couple of smallies, and of course my 48lb Striper
