Thanks to all of you who frequently have somthing to say and respond to on this board. You all have no Idea how much help you have been to the people on this board who need help learning the fine art of catching muskie's.I for one print a lot of what is said here,Most all of you are extremly knowlegable in the sport, and for the guy who is trying to learn the board is a God send.THANK YOU ALL FOR THE TIME YOU GIVE TO HELP OTHERS LIKE ME, GET EDUCATED. A man who I admire once said:OF WHAT YOU CAN GIVE SOMEONE, YOUR MONEY,YOUR BELONGINGS,OR YOUR TIME,TIME IS THE MOST VALUED.BECAUSE TIME CAN NOT BE REPLACED.TIME IS THE ONE THING WE DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH WE HAVE.SO FOR ALL OF YOU OUT THERE WHO FEEL WHY SHOULD I teach this guy all my knowledge on this subject: BECAUSE IT IS APPRICIATED!!! THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR THE TIME SPENT TEACHING ME.

Michael,
You're more than welcome. Boards like this one and others are fun to take part in and can be very informative as well. As Bill Cosby said, "Stick around and if you're lucky, you just might learn something! Hey, Hey, Hey!!"

No problem. We all come here to help, learn, debate and just interact. It's fun to see a new person come to these boards, ask questions and go out and catch their first fish. It makes you happy and us as well knowing that we helped. I would join that elgin chapter of muskies inc. That is the closest one and one of the best if not so. I hope you get out before the ice sets in. Good luck.

hey Michael:
keep asking questions!!!! I learn a ton on these boards. What is really great is when you read a tip or certain method and then it works when you give it a shot on the water! Talk about rewarding!! By the way, dont listen to anything Spongebob says..you see i recently found out he was a cartoon and now i dont trust him!!! You should not either. your world will be turned upside down as mine was when i first discovered the horrible truth of Spongey....THE CARTOON!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!

Thats what the board is all about - to learn from each other. I've learned a lot on these boards and, as a result, have gone to Super Lines and bought quite a few new lures and have found out I need many more - (Phantom, Viper, Super TopRaider.....). And then there is this thing about winterizing my boat the last week of October. Going to have to stop that.:)

Michael,

You are more than welcome. It's guys like you that keep the old timers on their toe's. Pretty soon you will have to start regurgitating this stuff to other newcomers.

I'm glad you learned a lot Michael. I came to this board knowing next to nothing. I had 0 muskies before this board and since I found out about it I have caught 5. Stick around and you'll surely learn more, I know I learn more from here just about everyday.

I've said it before, but I'm in wit da thanks also.
Had a tremendous fall and it's due in part to all the advice I was able to glean off of this board. That and I was able to fish about a kazillion hours (due to the economy;) or so my wife believes).

I, too, have found the folks on this board to be some of the most courteous and respectful people, and full of good information. I have had the distinct pleasure of fishing with SpongeBob, and I must disagree: The Sponge speaketh the truth! He also has a bait collection that adds new dimensions to the word: envy. m

THANKS TO ALL FROM THIS NEWBIE ALSO. Started with no info at all on muskies and am now proud owner of about a dozen new and about 3 dozen used lures, picked up from this site, provided by both sellers, traders, and givers. Am still a virgin, but my wife caught her first one last month. Even without having caught a lot of fish (when you are throwing 7-10 inch lures you don't get a lot of blue gills, crappie or bass), every outing has been a good one and you just want to keep going back till you find out the secret to each lure.
Thanks to the exchange of info on sites like this you know that if you keep the lures in the water you will eventually figure out how to trigger the fish.
My next step, for next spring, is to hire us a guide, watch and listen, and find out what all we are doing right and what all we are doing wrong.

Thanks again, and

good fishing...jwl
