It was so bad my trolling motor would not even keep up. Had to call it quits before noon. At least I stayed out there longer than one guide did. On top of that I see one of my sucker rods with a bend in it not taking out line. I pull it up thinking there is weeds on it and it starts pumping. I bring it up some more and see it's a musky. It's my dad's turn so I wait to set the hook untill he get's back there. The fish let go. STUPID!! After further inspection it could not have had a better t-bone on the fish.

Sorry to here about your bad luck Todd, but that's what keeps us coming back isn't it. (Or makes you just want to quit...;))

I haven't been able to even go in my boat w/ the wind for fear it will til over, although I was so close to doing that without the wind, but thats another story. Anyway i went out for less than an hour today to fish off the docks, and my arm is really tired from casting into that wind. I was pretty much the only person there, w/ not a single boat on the lake. Anyway, I decided heck with it for the year and took the boat out. Todd, if I were you I wouldn't have been able to wait with that fish on, I woulda set the hook anyway. Its got to be hard to see a fish on and not set the hook.

I could have used a bit of that US wid in Holland last weekend. It was forecasted that the wind would be up to 3-4 beaufort and 70% chance for rain. We had a little drizzle and hardly any wind. The boat drifted along at 1m per minute! And the fog would disappear. We only took 3 northerns, all small. If there had been a chop, it would have been better.

Divani, this wind was 20-30mph. When we called it quits waves were coming over the nose of the boat and water was splashing on us in buckets.

Todd,
I do not want to mention the name of the lake and you please don't
mention it either. I think I might have talked to you out from the boat landing. Where you in a Green and White boat can't remember the name of the boat. Anyway I was in my Blue Ranger 681, we ended up staying out until dark which was about 4:30 and ended up losing 2 fish on suckers and had one follow on a jerkbait. If that was you let me know.

Yep, that was me out there. We had that pickup right after we talked like 5 minutes after. My trolling motor had good juice, it's that my boat is only 630lbs. which is very light and the wind moves it. I think we could have boated a fish or two if it were not for that dam wind. By the way nice rig.
