What about things that our partners do in the boats that really gets on our nerves. I personally can't stand when someone shall I say politely passes gas and thinks it funny as other people in the boat have to smell it.

For me, I don't like chew tobacco. Cast, spit, cast, spit, cast, spit. Ya look like you have a tumor in your lip!

Mine has to do more with boat control... I hate when the front seat guy works the boat so that it is hard to work spots orrrrr when he/she is working the boat fast, but working a very slow bait with long casts. Nothing irritates me more than waiting for the front seat to get their bait in so that I can cast. I don't maind casting over a guy's once, but 2-3 times is a bit much.

Flip side, I really like a bunch of the guys that I fish with...

Smokings bad enough, but I've got a partner that smokes stogies!!! They are really sickening. Funny, his wife allowed him to buy his own boat if he gave up cigarettes. Now no more cigarettes - just non-stop stinkin' stogies. :(

Peeing over the side of the boat unless its necessary is my pet peeve. Sometimes a person has to do that, but that should be a last resort. If there is a landing or some place nearby to stop at, I'd rather just take a break and go in for a few minutes. It can be embarrassing when your partner is peeing over the side of the boat when you're right next to a boat where a fellow fisherman has his wife and kids along. "Daddy, that man is peeing in the lake".:(

I hate when you are working a nice size piece of realistate and the guy on the back of the boat decides he wants to fish virgin water and sends a cast nearly to the moon out in front of the boat and totally cuts you off on your own boat, And now you have to stand there and wait till he works his bait back (and this can take for ever because he made a 50 yd. cast) Now the reason why this pi$$es me off is because at times I've been out fished by the back of the boat. I really don't believe you have to fish the spot first in order to c
catch that fish first it usually just takes the proper presentation.
Good hunting, Jeff<><

I hate it when my partner tries to videotape the net job of my personal best fish and he screws it up. Hmmmm, wait a minute..... that's something I do to MY partners (heh heh).

There aren't too many times my buddies piss me off (its usually the other way around), but I do remember once when one of my larger friends was on this crazy protein diet and had a dozen hard boiled eggs in my boat.... but couldn't eat the yolks. Needless to say, most of the yolk didn't make it over the side of the boat.... but got nicely worked into my carpet. Try to clean that mess up!

A pet peeve of mine as a passenger is when your partner has a Pinpoint trolling motor and it decides to spin the boat in circles for no apparent reason. What's worse is the guy lets you complete three or four full revolutions before he overrides the ##### thing saying, "there must be a crib down there" or "maybe we've found a spine we never knew about, lets see where it takes us". VERY annoying.

I hate it when....he brings a rod/reel--cuts down on my chances of catching a fish by half....when he brings above mentioned outfit but NO baits + "squirrel" fishes.....when I bring lunch + he doesn't....when he pees in the boat, not out of the vessel.....when on the RARE occasion a fish IS hooked + he insists on netting the bait FIRST.....maybe I'll name him Patrick!:)

Actually, the thing that gets me the most is when they outfish me and then rub it in. I do everything I can to get them on fish and then they catch all the fish and I never hear the end of it. My wife did that five years ago and the picture is still on the frig.:)

The worst has to be when they say its time to go. I hand em a life jacket and a paddle. Then they can pass gas and smoke all the way to shore and Ill think its funny. Maybe throw a jackpot at em.Kingfisher

1) I hate it when the guy I'm fishing with hogs the front of my boat(I have a small boat so only the front has a casting platform).
2) I also hate it when I'm the fishing guide, you know, a constant barrage of "is this on right" "can I borrow" "is this the right spot" -- you're not paying me, shut up and fish!
3) Lessee, I also get ticked when somebody uses a cell phone. Okay if your wife's about to give birth, otherwise, I'm fishing to get away from the world and relax, I don't want to hear phones ringing, or listen to someone complain about the reception "can we go fish back by the bridge, I had better reception there"
As for peeing, what's a bailing bucket for after all? It also makes a good visual shield as well as ensuring it all makes it to the water. I'm still haunted by the day, in my dad's tiny 10 ft tin boat, my brother had an attack of the "runs" out in the middle of the river. My brother's son and I are bustin' a gut laughing while he fills the bailing bucket. It was soo-o-o-o-o disgusting.

Jason,

That pinpoint knows what it's doing. You've gotta just let it do it's thing!!!! Seriously, I've got one and this year was my first year with it. I would do that all the time, and would constantly be getting screamed at by my boat partner. "What are we doing going in circles?" I'd just tell them to wait and see where the motor's gonna take us. After one and a half full circles, I'd get really ticked off and kick the foot pedal, take manual control of the boat, and put us back on track. I never was able to find those "cribs" on the graph. LOL!!!!

Getting outfished is definitely the worst thing that happens. And having your partner laugh when you miss your third fish in a row on a topraider is pretty frustrating too!

When my wife wizzes in the splash well. I let her do once in an emergency and now she thinks OK every time. It was much funnier watching her hang it over the side.

Niiiice… If she new I posted this I would be DEAD.

I like kingfisher's reply! Man, I hate those 6 words: it is time to get back! I would just love to kick them overboard and just keep trolling away from them or leave them on one of the islands! I have a reputation of keeping everyone on the water too long. A day with me is a long fishing day, only until it gets dark. Many wifes must have a bad idea about me by now!! Those darn fishing buddies sure can fool their wifes by telling them it was me again!

Other than that: they always catch the biggest fishies ... man I just love going out on my own, catching the big one every time!! LOL:P

My partner will just sit down and watch me. I understand that everybody needs a break every now and then, but he just puts the back seat up, doesn't talk, doesn't cast, doesn't look any other direction than at the back of my neck. He will do it for a good while until he thinks the fish are moving again.

Forget about that one...can't stand it when someone is on the phone also when you are out there trying to get away from it all!

My partner believes if your boat is shallower than 10 feet you are too shallow. Most of the time it's more like 15. When you are up shallow you are bass fishing.

When my partner is driving when we are trolling and he is not watching the finder and puts all the baits in the weeds.

When it's windy out and my partner is running the boat, he decides it's time to change baits every five minutes and 5 other boats fish the structure before we do.

This one is easy! My partner putting is rod and lures away after being out there for only about an hour, pulls his cell phone out,and ponders calling his wife at work to see if she "made a big deal" today or not.(she is a real estate agent)
