I'm thinking about getting a hand held GPS, And was wondering if anyone has ever tried this model.
Also I was wondering if anyone may have some other recommendations for a hand held that is user friendly.
Thanks to all and Merry Christmas,Jeff <><

I've got the GPSIII and love it. The only thing I didnt like was that as soon as I got it home and engraved my name on it(renderring it unreturnable...is that a word) I found out that the GPSIII+ was available. My unit works very well but I would have liked the added features of the + unit. I would reccommend either one , just look at the options and see if you really need/want the added perks of the + unit. I think the difference in price was like $60.

Hey thanks Karl,
I've been racking my brain trying to figure out which unit I wanted to get, this unit seemed to have alot of nice features on it.
Karl I was wondering if you use the interlink for your computer. If you do how easy is that and is that all you need is the interlink cable to do uloads and downloads.
Thanks,Jeff <><

My garmin, the GPSIII, does not have that capability. the GPSIII+ does....that was one of the main reasons I was so disappointed that I engraved my name on my unit as soon as I did. Once I did that I found out the + unit was available and I could not exchange my unit. BUT I've put my Garmin to MANY good uses and it is very easy to use and as accurate as can be expected.
