Hello-

Most if not all of you have heard about the stroke that Jeff Woodruff suffered a few weeks ago. Jeff is still in the VA Hospital undergoing physical therapy, those that have spoken to him report him to be in good spirits and on the road to recovery.

At the January Meeting of the Twin Cities Chapter of Muskie's, Inc. there will be a benefit auction of Muskie related fishing equipment to help raise much needed funds for Jeff. These prizes were compiled by taking cash donations from the Twin Cites and North Metro Chapters of MI and including them with several private donations for a grand total of $1270 in cash. Jeff Arnold, owner of Reeds Sporting Goods/Muskie Fever generously turned that $1270 dollars into nearly $2700 worth of product! The product includes, Rods, Reels, Aqua Vu Underwater Camera, Depth Finder, GPS, Lures, etc. This is all top of the line equipment that everyone would love to have. There are also several bait manufacturers that have generously donated a ton of baits to help out the cause. There is something for everyone, from a big ticket item to a $10 bait, we can all afford to attend and participate. We hope everyone can attend-

Date-Time-Location-

The date is Tuesday, January 8th at 7:00pm at the Everett McClay VFW in Bloomington. If you have any questions, would like to donate or just need directions, feel free to contact George Wahl at 763-588-9107. You can also contact Jeff Olson at mrfigure8@aol.com.

This should be a great time and most importantly the proceeds are going to a great guy.

Happy New Year to everyone-

I think this is a super idea/ very appropriate and looking forward to attending. I'm not a MI member and don't know Jeff W but certainly will travel for this cause. Sounds like there will be a lot of good deals too!

Need help with directions: I live quite S of Bloomington /via travel N into Bloomington on either 35w or 77.

Where is this VFW located? (closest major freeway intersection). Also noticed news reports that 494 is shut down for construction.

I think what your doing is great and I wish I could attend , but living in W.Va. can see no way of going. Wish there was a on-line auction for causes like this. .

Jeff,
I haven't been able it semms to see any of my posts on this so don't know if they are being pulled or I'm having trouble posting.
I may be a little late but let me know if you still can use donations for Jeff and I would more than happy to oblige.

I was lucky and got to do the shopping at Reeds for the auction. I will tell you that Jeff Arnold went way beyond the call of duty and really gave us some great gear for the auction. Just to name some of the stuff. Two Eagle Ultra Classics, a Lowrance 1600 Global Map GPS, Aqua View Camera, three Calcutta 400's, four Garcia 6500C's, another top end Shimono reel. Two Beckman nets, three St. Croix rods, a Cannon Downrigger, several small items, such as electric knifes, baits, filet knifes. Several bait manufactures also contributed. Fudally Tackle gave six of the new holoform Reef Hawgs, you've got to see these baits, they are hot. Eagle Tail, Northland Tackle, Marv's Spinnerbaits, a couple of Dick Pearsons new books. Don't miss this night, it will be fun and you can pick up some great stuff all going to a great guy and friend Jeff Woodruff.

Good luck, Murph!

Thanks to all who participated in the benefit. Jeff came to the meeting and is doing great and was a great inspiration to all who attended. Great items were available and several super donations by several folks to many to name, don't want to offend any one by forgetting their name. Just under $5,000 was the final count.

Thanks again, Murph!
