Tom,

I just brought my new toy home, a golden retriever puppy. If I recall correctly you have two goldies, right? I went with a female because I think they are more mellow and less aggressive.

Do you have any advise about raising goldie's? I want to have a great fishing companion for years to come. My wife named her Sadie, which I kind of like also. I told her it had to be a name that was respectable in the field because I plan on hunting with her also. I wasn't going to stand in front of my buddies, chest high in catttails, yelling bubbles or peaches.:)

Any advise would be great.

HAPPY NEW YEAR,
Brett Waldera

Correct, I had two Goldies a month ago.
November 17th Bonnie gave me Homer who is now about 13 weeks old, so now we have THREE,
He already goes outside to whiz, lets me know when he needs to go, shakes hands and fetches and brings back anything I throw, except Bacon Strips!
LOL
Is marking is turf and has been in all the boats in the garage.
Loves to fight with Barney inbetwen naps and is trying to make friends with Bailey.

As far as advise, I can only say to love them and use one word commands on things you need him to do, then praise them when they do well.
They catch on REAL fast and if yours is anything like mine it will be happy to please YOU.

Congrats!
Goldens ROCK!

Bailey Loves to fish, Casting mostly, but she just loves the boat and water.
Barney likes it only when we are hooking fish and then casting, he then gets board and sleeps until we have more action or he is hungry.
They have full run of the Island so they make fun for them selfs.
Love the BIG screen TV and Eating, always Eating!
One will NOT let me leave with out the other, Rain, wind, snow what ever, they are always by my side!
Most times I find them sleeping out back in the boat which is on the lift, or out front at the dock in the boat just waiting to get going.
By doing this they are sure they both get first dib's on the space and I will have no chance of leaving with out them!
:)

Good luck and have fun.
They are mans best friend and love doing things for and with you.

T.

PS
Adding things to my web site and Homer will be there!
Should be up Wednesday!
