I just spoke with a friend who was at the poolside demonstration in Chicago. He said that the Pacemaker made by Ty Sennet was the loudest topwater made. Does anyone know how to get these baits? Are they really that loud? Are they built well?

Gary,

I helped Ty at the show. They are LOUD and the Pacemaker is a variation on the Thumper with a major modification. The middle hook hits the prop blade. I believe you can get a hold of Ty through Muskies101 or tysennet.com. He currently making two sizes.

Good Luck

The peacemaker was the hit of the poolside demos. Ty placed one of the trebles next to the blade so they hit each other on every turn. He cut one of the hooks off so it doesn't foul up. It's so loud people on the balcony could hear it. I ended up leaving early due to a pet emergency at home so I didn't get any at the show. You can bet that I'll have a few before the season starts though.

I was up on the balconey at the poolside and I could hear it up there clearly!!!! this was the most awesome bait I saw at the show in fact I left the balconey ran downstairs to the pool and when TY was done casting it I blocked him and told him to get his thumb out of the way and grabbed the lure out of his hand and wrote him a check I could hear guys chuckling because I was so intent on getting it, if he wouldnt of gave me that lure he'd of been swimming,,its loud but sounds good too, not tinny or mechanical also the tail made a nice deep wake

I read some of the posts about the Pacemaker, everything these guys are saying is true. We've had our hands on these baits for the last few years, Ty only made of few of these in his basement. A few of us that were lucky enough to have one can tell you its the most awesome tail bait you'll ever use. They are very well made, musky tough, great paint jobs, and they catch fish. If you can find them, buy one... better yet, buy two. They're awesome!

I was at the show on sunday, stopped by Ty's booth in the morning and spoke with Dan. He told me that Ty was up all night on thursday night tuning the baits in their hotel pool. I decided that I had to go to the poolside and check them out. I CAME BACK AND BOUGHT BOTH SIZES!!! Ty's baits blow away the Super Topraider that everyone has been waiting for. There are a few shows coming up check and see if Ty and Dan are there.

Thanks for the great comments about the Pacemaker. I really appreciate it. It’s through wire constructed, durable and loud. The heavy gauge brass blade allows for some tuning if you want a slower, deeper pitch or faster tail pop. Corey Meyer and I have been testing this bait for a long time before I decided to “take the leap”. I hope those of you that picked them up enjoy them. I’ll have some at the Wisc Musky/Pike Expo in Waukesha if you’d like to check them out.

Thanks again,

Ty Sennett
