Hi,

Have a lake up here that is choked with weeds in the summer. During first ice the water is really murky......coffee with cream color. The fishing at this time is poor. Once it clears up the icefishing is great.

Still.....the walleye gotta eat and I'm wondering what you guys and gals would use during this murky period to try and entice one or two fish?

Roger.

I would use a high visability and flash and maybe a lighted lure at night with lots of movement.
Let them know the food is there.

Along with what Pitts said, you could try tail hooking the minnow. They'll swim around much better and possibly attract better.
