corsair reels!!!

Hey guys and gals,
this summer i saw a posting on here that said "corsair Problems", and having a corsair i looked at it. It explained of a problem when the reel goes into anti-reverse for no reason. I had the same problem with the old silver models. it then said to send them in for a replacement. Because of my busy schedule i didnt get it sent till new years eve. Well i got it back today and she is a bute. It only took wo and a half weeks!! just thought i'd post this experience for all. and hopefully save someone from a lost fish this musky season.

I also had the same problem with two of the silver reels. Called up Shimano and they told me to ship the reels to them (didn't even need the sales reciept. Three weeks later and I had two brand new gold ones in my hands, used them last summer and didn't have a problem with either of them. Hat's off to Shimano.

Funny thing is my buddy hated his because of the problems with it, he was going to throw it away so he gave it to me. Needless to say, I thank him every time I use the new one and kinda rub it in his face, man he still gets Pi**ed about that one.

I have one of the new gold ones sitting in my basement waiting for my lazy butt to send it back.
I had the antireverse just blow out on me and now it doesn't work.
I guess I should probably send it back as soon as possible.
Just courious, Do you guys happen to have the address were you sent the reels back to.

I had two of them and had to make a couple calls and a letter stating I did not want another corsair I would pay the difference for a calcutta and they could keep the corsair junk. it took a little *****ing but I did recieve 1 calcutta. thanks shimano
