Making my first trip to Kentucky the end of March. Looking for general info on what to expect. Water clarity, timing with the spawn, seasonal movements, forage base, general water temps at that time, etc.
Lookin' forward to the trip and YOUR assistance for tip planning.

Dear Mr. Long....your first concern should be for a map of the mine(stump) fields!;)....forage is shad based....bring some smaller light colored + chartreuse baits as well as your other stuff you normally use....we will be able to provide some baits(traps) for usage if needed....looking forward to hoisting the skull/crossbones on your new boat + be sure to enter the "stump jump" contest! Depending on the h20 temp. you will have flats, deep points, creeks + some beach areas to choose from...Tony can give you much better info. but that would take the fun out of it! Looking forward....:)

Jason, your gonna love this one. Never fished the cave in the spring, but I'm only a few hours from it. In march/april my best producing baits are JOINTED crankbaits, with rattles. See ya there in March, I hope it's not too muddy.

I think the two of you should partner up for a day of fishing. I have a feeling you’d make a great team. You both have great expertise in your area of know-how. The combo would surely win the trophy. How about it, am I match maker?:)
