I was feeling bad yesterday morning and after been home from work for an hour I got this wicked pain in my lower back all of the sudden. It was so bad I called my wife at work to come home and take me to the emergency or I was calling an ambulance. Well after 8 hours in the emergency room and many tests there was nothing wrong with my kidneys. So du to the shortage of beds they send me home to sleep and come back this am for a CT scan. Well they found this small mass ( 1.5 inches ) in or around my liver or kidney. I now have to wait 1+ week or so for a biopsy to find out if it is malignent or not. :'(
The pain killers will have to do their job untill we get the results.

Thanks in advance,

Having a wife who has survived breast cancer, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I know how hard the waiting for results can be. Every minute is an angony of wonder and worry. I want you to know that the best help for the emontional pain is to reach out to others, especially those who have been down this path. Also know that cancers in genearal are much more treatable than in the past. I pray that your biospy results are negative. Also remember that your family is also in crisis now. You may be the one who is sick, but they are also fighting the cancer battle with you and they need all the support that they can get also. Please lets us know how you are doing.

Having had a major medical event in the past I can say that the medical world can do wonders these days. Keep a postive attitude and I'm sure with the loving support of family and friends you'll be OK in no time. The support of your family and the thought of getting back on the water to chase muskies will help heal you. God bless.

All you thoughts and prayers are welcome. I will let you all know as soon as I do but looks like it might be a while as it takes 4 or 5 days just to get an apointment.

I have my hopes up as there's a 70 pounder out there with my name on it. ;-) And my 4 and 6 year old need me for many years to come.
