Anyone know of good buys on the 6500 C3 or C4? Also, do you recommend I pay the extra few bucks to get the 4? Thanks

Sorry, I don't and if I ever seen these reels at a cost lower than what everyone sells them for, I'd probably pick up a few more.

If I'm not mistaken, these reels sell the same everywhere, $75 on a 6500C3, $90 for a C4. They sell so well, no reason to discount them.

From time to time Abu-Garcia offers rebates and then you can get a great reel at a better price. Keep an eye out for these manufacturer programs.

Whether the extra money is worth it for the C4, a better question to ask is if you need the higher speed gearing the C4 offers. If yes, than its worth the coin. For the majority of musky fishing applications tho, I would say the C3 is just fine and you can get another musky lure with the money saved.

I purchased two of them last year. I got a nice watch with one and $15.00 with the second one! They work great. I do alot of jerk bait fishing so the c4 is the answer for me!

Call 1-800-Berkley. Ask for the FFO store. They have re-conditioned Abu reels at substantial savings. They'll be able to tell you what they have in stock and the prices.
