Hi, I am a UK angler and was looking for tips on jerkbaiting, just general hints really that anyone finds useful

Glynn, wow this is a big subject. Every jerkbait has it's own way to be worked. Tell us what you have or want to get and we most certainly can better help you.

Todd, Isn't it past time to come up with something better than "My mind didn't wander, it wandered off"? It got old a long time ago!
Many different styles of jerk baits are made for different situations. I like a slow moving, slow sinking bait for cold water temps (below 50 degrees), and the faster sinking or faster working baits in the warmer water months. Keep both the side to side and the up/down types in your box, because there are days when one seems to be prefered over the other. I prefer the 6" to 8" long glide baits year round, and you can't hardly beat the 9 or 10 inch suicks for an up/down bait!
