Given your choice for a weeks muskie fishing, which would you choose? Leech Lake or other large Minnesota lake, like Vermillion. Or, five small lakes in Vilas County, Wisconsin.

One full week? Consecutive Days? That is a no brainer.... go BIG.

Big water=Big fish. However if you go to someplace with several smaller lakes then if one lake if off you can always move.

Lots of smaller lakes around Leech. Problem with Leech is that it can be very suseptible to the wind, depending on where you are and where you want to go. Some days you can't even get out. Those are the days to hit the dozen smaller lakes around the area.

Lets see: Five days and can hit five lakes or one big one? How about Mille Lacs, Mille Lacs, Mille Lacs, Mille Lacs, and Mille Lacs? Am I sounding repetitive?:)
