What do you guys think of the 1600 model Fish Hawk for musky fishing? I have a limited towing weight on my vehicle and a limited bank account and seems this baby fits in both catagories for me. If not a good one does anyone know a better lighter weight affordable boat.

Not sure about the 1600 FH. I have the 1650 FH and love the boat. I think the 1600 is almost the same except no built in gas tank and maybe a couple other things.
Personally, everyone I know with any of the FH's really like them.

I think you mean the 1650 Crestliner Fishhawk or maybe the 1600 Angler. The 1750 Fishhawk is one of the most popular Muskie boats out there and some would argue the best value for the money in aluminum Muskie boats. The 1650 is very similar, just a bit smaller, and, like you said, fairly priced. The Angler is an even more economical model that would work well too. They all look like great Muskie boats to me.
If you are heading to a boat show any time soon to look at them, go out to the Crestliner WEB site and you can get a voucher for $350 off a 1650 or 1750 Fishhawk and $250 off a 1600 Angler.

Hope this helps.

I bought a Sylvan last year and have been very pleased. Weigh/price was also consideration for me, and a windshield was also required (family). This one best met our wants and needs. http://www.sylvanmarine.com/2002/aluminum/expedition1600dc.htm
Good luck and have fun

I saw the new brochure and the 1600 looks like a nice boat. Just a bit narrower than the 1650 fishhawk and less storage. I noticed that the 2002 model has a built in gas tank which it did not have in previous years.

I went yesterday to look at the Crestliner Anger 16SC and looks great. You can't go wrong with Crestliners 20 year hull warranty and 3 years bow to stern warranty , they really stand behide there product.
I also love the big casting decks.

I BOUGHT THE 1750 FH LAST YEAR AND LOVE IT. THE FH'S ARE GREAT ALLAROUND FISHING BOATS. A FRIEND IS SELLING HIS 1850 FH FOR CHEAP.
GIVE HIM AND E-MAIL MUSKYNUT.COM. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR QUEST AND DO NOT BUY FROM CRYSTAL/PIERZ MARINE. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FROM SERVICE.
HAPPY HUNTING
