I'm looking for a muskie box, but I've only found a couple of different ones on the net. Rollie and Helen's has one that looks good, but it's difficult to tell how many baits and other stuff one will hold from just the pictures. For example, the muskie medium and muskie upright they sell look to be about the same but are priced about $20 different. I've also heard that Plano makes a good muskie box, but can't find it online anywhere.
Does anyone have a reccommendation on one they like, and a place to mail-order it? Thanks for any help.
I have the Plano 7915 Hanging Bait Box and really like it. However I couldnt seem to find it online anywhere. But I did find this website that looks pretty cool.

Just click the Tackle Systems link, then specialty boxes.
Its the 7915-01.
Hope this helps.

The difference is the size, look for dimentions. I think the medium is somewhat bigger then the upright but I would recommend going for the monster as this box holds over 80 baits. I will post a link to a plano box with clear inserts, I have one of these loaded with 50 believers and jakes all 10" and you can see all of them by just opening the box because of the clear inserts you find the color you want right away.

I hear Fleet Farm has the hanging style boxes, but not in the fishing section (tool section or something). Otherwise, the clearvision boxes are excellent. I picked one up last fall and highly recommend it. It's the Plano box with clear (and strong) inserts. The clear inserts make a huge diference since they let in light and let you see the lures better.

I have a Plano 7915 and i like it but i wish i had spent the extra money and bought a Lakewood products tackle box. I bought one for my brother-in -law and its a lot lighter than my plano and has pockets for tools. Also the lid on my plano smashes my bucktails down, any suggetions? I really dont want to carry another box for my bucktails.
Thanks

Mepps Guy,
You can take a router or radial arm saw and cut some of the slots deeper. The other alternative would be is to remove the plastic liner in the cover. I would go with the first option.

I've got two Plano's now. The first one I cut out some of the top where my bucktails were. Now that I have a second box I took all the dividers out of one half of the box and cut them all down approximately 3 inches. I suggest doing my second modification for bucky's in the Plano.

I see that Flambeau (sp?) has a new one out thats a little bigger than the Plano and costs about the same. It was $45 at Galyans. It looks like a pretty good one.
