trailer backup wiring

Just picked up a new triton today I thought that I had the wires all hooked up but when I put in reverse the brakes are not shuting off, I own a 99 ford with a 7 prong plug I wired the reverse to the center terminal all the other lights work, is there a fuse that has to be put in our a special wire hooked up that is on the truck stock to make this work? thank you I will have this figured out just looking for some short cuts.

your wire for your trailer brakes( should be a blue wire) must be hooked up to your reverse lights, we had to actually run a wire directly from our reverse lights to the pigtail, you probebly have to do the same
