Anybody use these lures or caught fish on them?

I catch muskies with this lure every year. The key (at least this is how I've had the most success) is retrieving it very slowly, so that it's back fin is barely breaking the water's surface.

I have a Burmek, but I gave up on it quickly.
Never got a hit on it....probably because I
worked it at a medium to semi-fast speed. I figured,
why insist on using a questionable lure, when I
have complete confidence in many other lures.
I hate retrieving a lure very slowly for muskies
because I feel not enough water is being covered...
so this lure is not very compatable with my style.
Maybe it's a good coldfront lure, when fish are sluggish?

Take your Burmeck and bend the 2 sections against each other. Note how little pressure it takes to open the screw eyes. Scarey, eh? I caught a 30 inch walleye on one once, but mine is now relegated to the junk pile.

That is a tad disturbing how weak the Burmek's are in the middle. Is the solution replacing the joint with stronger and longer screws? If not, is there a lure out there that has similar action?
