GPS Garmin Map 162 vs. lowrance Globalnav 310

I am looking for a GPS unit. These are 2 that I am considering. Although I would consider something else if there is something that is better in the 300 to 400 dollar price range.
I don't know much about any of them some any help you could give would be appreciated. I will be running it along side of my Pin Point 7520.
