Who makes the best lake maps for the GlobalMap 1600 (for MN)? Can I easily transfer the several hundred waypoints I currently have on the MapCreate program that came standard with the unit?

Navionics make some of the best maps I have seen. I use them on Lake of the Woods and they work nice. Check out there website at www.navionics.com

Otter: I agree with PJM. I use the same maps in my X15mt for LOTW and the detail is fantastic!! Even when on the Rainy River, their maps call out the resorts when you are in front of them. I fish out of the Rainy River to Garden, Stony, Knight, Bridges, and the reefs in the western part of Traverse. I have found all of those points without fail. And homeward bound it's a snap, even in the dark or when you are to far out to see the place you want to go to. Crosshair the location, and key the "Go To", and you are on your way. The topal is a little off but with the graph, who cares. The're a little pricy, but will worth the money. Good luck NAVIGATING....Kaz
