I recently purchased all three (Magic Maker,Cobbs,Undertaker)and used them last weekend. I felt like I had them working ok, but not really sure. What are the way (s) to work such baits? Also, I had on a straight, stiff metal leader about 10inches long. Is there a specific leader I should use?
Any advice would be appreciated. Take care, Brian

For the leader part, I would use a terminator titanium leader. It's a lot more flexible, and last much much longer. It hardly ever gets kinks. hope this helps.

The only one that I throw is the Undertaker, a very productive bait for me. I learned how to throw it in clear water, rod tip pointing towards the bait and constant little twitches while constantly reeling. The twitches were just long enough to allow the bait to complete its walk the dog action. If I worked it to fast it would pop out of the water, had my best luck running it just above the weeds. Once you get the rhythm down then you don't need the clear water. For a leader I use a 7 strand 90#.
Good luck

B.Jaws,
In Pete Mania's Video (volume 3), he demonstates using the magic maker. He suggests getting the bait rhythm, kind of like walking the dog, but underwater. He does this with small (6" to 1')downward jerks with his rod. If he sees a fish, he will give it a stronger jerk to make it more eratic. This makes the bait have a longer glide, giving the fish a little easier target.
Don't know about the others, but I have heard it similar. One last suggestion from the video is that one should practice getting the rhythm.
