What is your go to color for Hot N Tots? Do many of you use them in land lakes? Thanks
PS Any source for Hot N Tots these days?

I haven't bought any hot n tot's for several years and don't know the current color availability. On inland lakes I don't troll that often
but when I do, usually late, hot, summer, my #1 plug used to be a hot n tot. My go to color was silver with an orange belly in 1/4 oz. On lake Erie it was a magnum tot, gold, with an orange belly.

My goto color for the hot-n-tot is the flash in blue and silver with the red lip. In fact, when I'm trolling and it's kind of slow, I usually put this color on. I use this bait in the 1/4 oz. usually when I am trolling in more than about 10 feet of water. And if I new where to get some of them, I would have went and bought them already.

Jiggin, Last time I looked at Franks in Linwood they still had a decent selection, They have 1/4 oz blue/silver herringbone. A red lip is just a majic marker away... www.franksgreatoutdoors.com Check it out. Looking is free.. pete

I fish in bog-stained water for walleyes, and use hotntots (rattletots I believe) cast into an eddy at the bottom of rapids. When other plugs quit drawing strikes, I usually get a few fish off a hotntot, then they quit again. I guess its such a different bait - maybe a few really agressive fish go for it and that's about it. Who knows for sure. A firetiger colour, though.

Silver/black has always come thru for me on Erie

Chrome and black seems to be my best color, the next would be chrome and blue stripes. 1/4 oz, it doesen't hurt to put about a one inch piece of crawler on rear hook.
