I will be fishing Lac Seul for the first time this June. I will be going out of Hudson Ontario(southcentral part of lake) and heading to the northeast on a house boat. My question is, I would like to try for musky but not sure where to start. Do any of you have any experience with this area and could you point me to an area to start? Maybe, what lures worked for you and if you don't mind, an exact area. Anything would be appreciated. The lake is a bit intimidating and would feel better with some knowledge. Thank you, Brad

Hopefully you have some guys who have been there. You will have about a 55 mi. trip(9 hours) to get to Muskie water.
Take a couple of props and lower unit insurance. Take a lot of gas.
Park the boat @ Birch Narrows or Merrit Beach.

If you park at Merritt beach, it would be a good idea to take a few casts right off the point.

Would you happen to be the Warroad/LOTW, Doug Johnson?

Spinnerbaits , Spinnerbaits , look for warm water and weeds or stumps. Better have a Raddog!

Brad,

He is very busy fishing for lakers right now and will soon be guiding, so let me jump in and tell you that is the Doug Johnson that you speak of.
