I was out on tonka yesterday and had a few follows but no takers. Has anyone had any success in the metro area yet? Thanks

Was out on Tonka on opener. Couple follows as well....Slow day...
Bite should be much better just about now or in about a week. I think the same would go for many Metro lakes.

Sunday I lost 4 and caught a nice 5lb bass with a crappie tail coming out it's throat.
Wed: Went out with GregM and didn't start seeing them til 7pm. Then we saw 4 had one blow-up on a surface raider and had a hot one come in that we couldn't connect on.
I think with all these fronts moving through it should be good fishing. Too bad I'm stuck going to Winstock :(

I've fished a few metro lakes this week and managed a 32 and a 37 incher. The fish have been sluggish and have been hard to trigger and in many cases hard to even get a follow. Whats been working best for me is simply working the wind blown areas in and around weeds and mixing up the lure presentations. The only thing I am sure about right now is a slower presentation seems to be best and if a lure isn't producing, try something else.
Hopefully the fish will start to turn on as the water temps get a little more stable.
