Im planning a trip to go fishing up at fireside lodge and I need some help on deciding when to go. I have though about the 14 of July. I would like to know if the muskies are hiting around this time and what to use. The date is not final so if any one has any other time that are better for muskie fishing please let me know thank you.

Me and a friend of mine went to Fireside Lodge 2 years ago. Hot action, beautiful lake system, great food and the owners are the best. Its an action system, but the pigs are there, I went in the last week of their season (middle Sept) but my guess would be that this is the kind of water where there is action all season long.

Hi, Little V is usually where I go for the muskie opener in Ontario, not gonna make it this year though. You'll catch alot of fish in the whole system of lakes, but the biggest ones seem to be in Little V. Have seen fish up into the high 40" range, biggest caught is 44". 10 fish days aren't uncommon, but fish over 20lbs can be harder to come by. Fun place to vacation. Later

You will be just a stones throw from Lac Suel. When you get tired of what you call "action", you could always daytrip a couple of times and maybe encounter a better fish....Good fishing begins just south of Manitou Rapids and north.
Good Luck
