I have kind of an unusual request. I'm making crawler harnesses (actually used for minnows) and stinger hooks to be used up in Canada. Had great success except that we lost quite a bit to northerns so I made these out of wire leader. I was wondering if anybody would be interested in critiquing them for me. I'd be willing to send one out to you (at my cost) and you could tell me where I could improve, etc. I'm new at walleye fishing and could use some help and advice. If interested, email me at sovik_marc_s@lilly.com and give me your address and I'll send one out. I don't have that many made, so the first 5 to e-mail me will get one. Thanks in advance for your help.
Instead of using wire try Fire line. Fire line is hard for a northern to cut and easier to use than wire.

Marc: I own Crooked Creek Spinners in Lewistown, MT and we have a lot of northerns in our lakes and rivers. I have tied a lot of harnesses using 12lb test of Sevalon from sevenstrand tackle co from Long beach, CA. I have had great success using this wire. Check with Cabela's, they used to carry it but I haven't see it in the recent catologs. I just use a standard snelling knot for both hooks, and a quick change clevis with a A2 sleeve to crimp when you make the loop on the end. Any Questions you can E-mail me at mcombs@myavista.com Eyesrfn
