I set hard into what I thought was a fish, but may have been a rock or something. Next thing I know I'm reeling in the plastic lip of my Depthraider without the bait attached!!!! I found the rest after it floated to the top of the water, but now what do I do with it? can it be fixed? should I send it back to Joe? I just bought the thing and love all Bucher tackle but am a bit dissapointed with 'em right now :(

It is interesting how as the manufacturers keep improving the "weakest links" we then create new weak links! I guess with the new superlines, stiffer rods, and stronger leaders, now the weakest link is the the lip of the lure! If you broke the lip off of a Bucher lure, I would hate to think of what might happen with some of the cheaper ones. Maybe it was just a flaw in that one? Perhaps you should send it back to Joe so that they can analyze it and figure out why it broke.

PK,
Tom Dietz usually handles the online stuff. They have excellent customer service so you shouldn't have a problem. I know he reads this board from time to time, so maybe he will see this. I will see if I can get you a link.
