It seems like I recall hearing and reading about Heddon's Zara Spook as a lure used back in the-good-ol'-days. I see many Zara Spook lures for sale on ebay which got me thinking. The ones being auctioned there are only 4 3/8 inches long which seems pretty small for musky fishing. Does anyone have any experience using these small zig-zag lures for musky fishing or is there a larger size for muskies? Thanks for any insite anyone can share.

I think that would work for muskie. Being small it could make a good spring bait knowing that muskies like smaller diets usally in the spring. Yes I know of some good walk the dogs lures if you will "zig-zig". You could try the Mainia Doc which is a really good lure with a nice walk the dog action and rattles. Another good one is jackpot I haven't had experience with the Jackpot but I hear they are good but I hear alot of people say they like the doc better out of the two.

The super spook is a little longer and has 3 sets of hoohs. I've caught several muskie on this lure (both sizes)fishing for bass.

Have had some success with the Spook while fishing
for musky. Have caught a couple in high forties; however
my use of the lure has been limited for whatever reason.
Seem to work well over weedbeds. One word of advice--
change to a stronger hook!! Jawbreaker
Poe's giant Jackpot worked great for me for just an hour of casting had a nice Muskie crush it.
