I will bet somebody and only 1 person (first to reply)that the Packers win the NFC North this year. If the Bears win the North
you win.
If I lose I will give you a walleye colored phantom.
If I win I would like a squirly bert or something of
equal trade.

Are you kidding me? I'll take that bet in a heartbeat, even if the Bears have a harder schedule, and are playing 12 road games this year!

Yes, it is a shame the Walter's record will be broken, for he is the best football player to ever live! But the Cowboys are my second favorite team, so if there is anyone I would like to get it, it is Emmit Smith! He is a class act!
The only thing I don't like is the fact that Emmitt racked up all those yards behing the best O-line in history, and Walter ran 9 years before he had a single Pro Bowl lineman in front of him!

When Emmit started the cowboys were1 and 15 and they stink now. He did play behind a good line for a few years. Remeber a lot of those pro bowl linemen missed games for DUI wife beating Drugs steroids and even a few injuries but all and all Emmit takes a lickin but keeps on ticken. A lot of backs are good for a few seasons but to break Walters record you gotta be tough.

I think Barry not only would have surpassed Walter's record by now, but noone would be able to break the record for many, many years...(Whatever the record would be that Barry would have gotten?)
Emmitt is a class act, but age has caught up. Congrats to him as he will hold the record....

Yes Barry had an eceptional tallent like Jordan something that comes around once in a life time and is beutiful to watch but like Jordan There is a lot of what if he didn`t retire. Who knows what could have happend a big part of football records is not getting hurt Barry could have blown a knee on his next play and emmit still can. What I always liked about Emmit was that he never was the biggest fastest or most tallented but he always had desire even when the cowboys championchip days were over he found a way to stay focused and motivated. Records were made for breakin and Emmit has the rite stuff no coulda shoulda woulda only DID. Of course he is past his prime you don`t break these kinds of records in your prime ask Cal Ripkin
