I was thinking of bringing my wife to camp. Is this going to be a place for a couple to learn and fish together? I was also wouldering about the lodging. Will this price be for a doulbe room! The camp at greenbay would be the one for us! I just need some more information!

Here's a response from Sonja on a previous thread about camp walleye:
Hi anglers and Merry Christmas everyone.
Just a note to let everyone know that we will be doing several chat nights about Camp Walleye. Wayne Stensrud and myself will be hitting the Sport Show rounds in January thru March promoting Walleye Central and Camp Walleye.
Our hope is to do the chats live from the sport show floor we are currently attending and if any of the pros are handy we will have the join us.
Need to know more specfics about a certain camp location, please email me at sonja@walleyecentral.com or call me at 952-949-1109 and I will be glad to answer any and all questions about Camp Walleye.
The whole staff of Walleye Central is excited about this new venture and look forward to having lots of fun has we promote and support the sport we all love - catching those big eyes (or in my case just fishing.....)
Have a great and safe holidays from all of us at Walleye Central

Hi everyone.
hope you christmas was great. I got to play with the new grandbaby so mine was wonderful!
Now to answer the questions that iamwalleye1 asked.
Is this camp for couples? YES. We are anticipating many husband/wife couples and parent/child couples to be attending our Camp Walleyes. Our whole intent in providing Camp Walleye was to provide an atmosphere that allows one to have a great time while learning some new techniques from the pros.
Lodging? The price listed for each camp is per person. If two people plan on attending you will need to double the price. Each camp was priced out at a double occupancy. Meaning two beds for two people. In some locations it may be a cabin setting with 2-8 people in a cabin, but still 8 people = 8 beds.
The cost of the camp includes all your meals starting with a Thursday evening get-together, 3 meals on Friday, 3 meals on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday.
If you do not have a boat and need to rent one, currently the two locations that have boats available for rent are the Lake of the Woods, Wiley's Resort (1 of 3 Totem resorts which have received a 5 star rating for the past 15 years and is 1 1/2 hours from International Falls, MN) and Rainy River, Thunderbird Lodge (east of International Falls about 5 miles).
Other camps that are confirmed are the Sturgeon Bay-Green Bay camp that will be housed out of the Alpine Resort(about 7-8 miles from Strawberry Island were the big eyes are waiting)and Mille Lacs Lake will be housed out of Izatys Resort(located in the southeast side of the lake).
If anyone else has questions please ask them. Ask on the general discussion site or email me direct at sonja@walleyecentral.com or call 952-949-1109.
We had several anglers receive a trip to camp as a Christmas present. Great idea!!! Maybe suggest it for a birthday or anniversary present or even a belated Christmas present!?!?!?
Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years Eve and a great 2002!!
Thanks and see you at the sport shows....
