Phish Killer

Caught my first 30"+ fish this weekend. It was 32" and went on a Raddog on about the fifth figure 8 boatside. Man was that COOL!!! first time I ever had a fish chase on the 8. Any way I forgot my camera in the truck so no pic but a bit of admiring it and then a great release. I also lost a 40+ fish boatside after a heck of a fight that same night :( second big girl lost this season for me boatside. I always lose them while reaching for the net then they make another run and poof! gone. I wonder if I'm not playing them out enough before I try to net them, but I don't really want to gas the fish so much that it dies at boatside. I guess I'd rather lose a fish than kill one, but I'd really rather catch'em.
Also, thanks to all the great guys on this board for all the great info. Everything I know about Musky fishing I've learned here and my ability to consistantly find fish has increased greatly. I hookup a least once an outing, now all I have to do is land'em. If I caught every fish I hooked this season I would have 6 fish already, two in the upper 40's and all from a heavily pressured metro lake. So I think I must be doing something right as far as putting the pieces of the puzzle together in finding fish and gettin'em to bite.
P.K.
Looks like it's back in the loch for you nessy
