I had some troubles with the eye hole on the new scitter critter lip enlongating on me. I am afraid to even use this lure anymore as I think that it could give way when i do hook a fish on it. Working on ways to strengthen the eye hole up and just curious if anyone else has had this problem.

I haven't had this problem, but you might try to email Thor Pearson, thorpearson@odysseylures.com at Odyssey Lures to see if it is a common problem, or if there is a fix for the problem, or if they can fix it.

fishinskis,
Give a company a chance to make things right before you come on the internet and trash them. Sending them one email doesn't count in my book. Give them a call and work it out. The fact that you have 3 posts to your name, and 2 of them are in this thread trashing Odyssey, also makes me more than a little suspicious of your motives.
Jim, Lance asked him a question and he answered it. he didn't bash the maker of the lure, And as a business owner my self if some one try's to contack me, i responed in a timely fashion. If i don't i would guess the person would go looking some were else, like the internet.
Lighten up!!

Chad,
"I feel that they have no interest in trying to help out on this problem."
I don't know what business you are in, but to me, that is bashing the maker. Besides it's products, the only other thing a business has is it's reputation. fishinski's ran them BOTH down in his posts. That is pretty clear. If he tried to get a hold of the maker by mail, phone, and email, and the maker showed no interest in making good, then that is another matter. I am a strong believer in customer service. The fact that I have let the threads about Hughes River Baits and Jim Wilson stay up, should attest to that fact. On the other hand, I feel that people owe it to the maker to exhaust every avenue before they come on here and trash them.

Sorry if I make it sound like I am bashing anyone, but that was not the intent and i apologize.
I use most odyssey products and like them, i have had a problem with the lip as I said above and was wondering if it was a problem for others as well. If I truly wanted to bash someone I would come out and say it directly.
Jim if you want to continue this by email, mine is fishinskis@yahoo.com, and I would gladly talk more with you.

fishinskis,
It is not my intention to try and cast you in a bad light. I just hope that you can see it from my point of view. We get a lot of people who pop on to the boards to take out personal grudges. Sometimes, the only way to know if that is the case, is to look at the number of posts the person has, and the context of what was said. This being a nameless, faceless media, one of the only things we have to back up our credibility is how long we have been on the board. You being new, is an immediate red flag. As far as I'm concerned, your last post tells me that you weren't here to just stir up trouble. It looks like you and Thor will be hooking up, so hopefully the problem will be taken care of.
