I would assume this would apply to ALL businesses, including guides. Most of them always include their link when they sign their names, or this an acception to the rule?

RM,

Thanks for the inquiry. I should have been more clear. Scott does not allow links in posts at Walleye Central without paying for them. For right now, he hasn't had me enforce that rule here. As long as he doesn't tell me to put an end to it, I will continue to allow people to put a link in at the end of their post. That includes anyone, not just guides. Again, thanks for the question.

I also just want to say that I didn't lock the thread so that people couldn't ask questions or discuss this. I did it to keep it clean for new people. I didn't want them to have to wade through a bunch of questions. If anyone else wants to ask me anything, feel free to ask away in this thread.

Is God Almighty so strong that he can create a rock, that he himself can not pick up?
Just wondering?

Jim,
I read your post about the rules. While I believe they are sound rules and I understand the reasoning behind them I don't post for advertising or what can be construed as advertising. However, I do have a signature with every post that contains our company email and website as well as my real name. This is done for information as to how to contact me and lets users (that don't know me) know who I am and how to contact me when they see me mentioned on this board. That is the sole intent on my signature and it was permitted on the registry (users profile)when I registured.
In my opinion, I believe it should continue to be allowed as long as I or anyone else in the same position doesn't post with intent to delibertly trying to advertise. I see nothing wrong with your signature either as I would'nt have known you were a guide. This gives me and others, not in the know, good information
With all due respect to Scott, there is a fine line between advertising and information in some cases and he should possibly have conferance with his moderators before pulling or locking a post or thread to make sure that the line hasn't been crossed.
There is law and justice and sometimes the two don't come together. Let justice be served in any case.
Off the record, please email me about some evidence you spoke of else where. Evidence is always helpful to prove a case.
