Wealthwood vs Casino Landing on Mille Lacs

We are heading up to Mille Lacs tomorrow evening. We cannot decide if we should fish Vineland or the Wealthwood area. We have only fished Mille Lacs a couple times this year. We have fished Vineland bay with minimal success. How much farther is the Wealthwood landing than the Casino landing(from the cities)? Any tips, suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks, Kevin

Not too much further of a drive and a lot of fish up there as well. Might be a great time to give it a try. Sparse weeds, fish are shallow, 2-3 feet in most cases, but look also out a bit deeper as well off of the weeds between wealthwood and the rocks before Garrison. Happy fishing.... Cast-n-blast

If you go north and its windy consider a pay ramp at Mir Mar, Bucks, Barnicles etc.

The Wealthwood ramp is a real bear if the wind comes in hard from the South. The casino ramp is a small harbor... no such problems.

Only about fifteen minutes or less between the two ramps.

If the weather is right either area should produce ...if not maybe the smallies will bite, Walleyes in the cabbage on jigs to kill some time also (just leave some for the Muskies to eat!!!)
