ORDER A 1800 SS EXPLORE 03, LOADRITE GALV W/O BRAKES 03, AND A 125HP
MERCURY 02, THE 2002 MOTOR IS STILL IN THE CRATE I SEEN IT MYSELF.
PRICE OF PACKAGE 14,800. IS THIS TO MUCH? THE DEALER ALSO QUOTED A 1700 ANGLER SS 02 SAME TRAILER WITH BRAKES AND THE 125HP MERC FOR 17K. IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

I'd say that is a fairly good price at this time of year for either boat. Not great, but not terrible either. You would probably get a better deal at the Sports Shows next winter, but then you don't get to use it the rest of this summer either. Lunds aren't cheap and the 125 Merc adds a little too.

I imagine a Crestline 1750 Fishhawk would run maybe one or two thousand less than the Explorer, but you can only go to 115 HP with that. I believe the 1750 Fishhawk with a 115 four-stroke Merc was running about $15,000 last winter and with a 115 two-stroke Merc it was about $13,000. So, I imagine now it would be about another thousand for each rig depending on who you talk to.

I may have spent way to much time looking at boats in the past year.:)
