Im heading up to Arbor Vitae the whole week after Labor
Day and am wondering if suckers will produce or will the
water temperature still be to warm to even bother?

Don't forget not to use single hook gutmo's!

Btpf,
I'll be up there Sept. 13th through the 22nd. If you see a guy in a green aluminum boat with a 30 hp. Evinrude, stop by and say hi! We can talk about the lure that you will owe me this year! HA HA! I'll probably be wearing a Cubs hat and a white Urlacher jersey.

So will I be able to use them in Early September?
I will be using them if they work with a quick strike rig.

I am sure they would work, but I am expecting there to be an awesome topwater bite in september! Fish should be real active, so I will be just casting. Might be good to have one over the side of the boat for follows though.

Sure they will work that time of year. The only issue may be keeping them alive transporting them. Don't think I would use the big ones (18"+) yet though.

They work anytime of the year the trick is to use the smaller ones 9 inch or so for a couple reasons, first they arent looking for huge meals that time of year and second they big ones are so hard to keep alive especially when the temps are warmer. If you want to try something that works even better use a bullhead, they stay alive much better actully are almost impossible to kill and I have found that muskie actully prefer them over suckers. But remember to use a quick strike and also to set the hook immediatly! Even a quick strike will kill if used improperly.
