Does anyone here have any experience with factory seconds ( mainly paint problems) on Ripsticks..I found a bunch at a great price (3/$10) and was wondering if they were worth really stocking up on at that price?.....The defects look like they would be mostly unnoticeable to fish..Just curious if anyones tried em and had any luck..Tight Lines..Len

Len,
Scott Stecker will not knowingly sell a lure that has a fatal flaw. If they leak or have a major problem they get trashed. The seconds are fine, and I've caught many fish on them. They aren't very common, where did you find them? Just curious.

Good luck, Jim

I have used these, and consider them a great way to get more lures at a discounted price. The lures I have bought have had a very minimal defect, and I have caught fish with them. The finish - even the "factory seconds" is better than most of the other lures. Buy them while they last... After you catch a few toothy eyes on them they may have some teeth marks on them anyway - gives them character!
Around a month ago - out of Vermillion, Ohio, I causht my largest walleye yet, a 9.5 lb fish, and this was on a "factory second".
