Has any one been fishing around this area lately. I am headed there next weekend looking for a fat one. I will be launching from Midland.
Any baits in paticular working best. We will be trolling primarily.

I fished Georgian Bay September 14th -21st. However, I was on the north shore.
On the 14th I got my personal best from the Bay, a fat 51 incher that was about 40 pounds or so. You can see a picture of it on "the other" musky site in the photos section, top of page 2
The fish seemed to want non jointed, flat-sided cranks that week. Water temps were 66-68 degrees in the north at that time.
Good luck this fall

I know this fellow who used to fish macey bay, just east of Honey Harbour...he would catch several muskie a day, but that was when I was a kid in the 1960's. Are people still fishing macey bay and pulling in the big ones?
