I need a post-Christmas gift for my father. He loves to walleye fish, so I'd like to get him a couple of lures. I'm the hunter in the family, and I know next to nothing about walleye fishing other than I enjoy catching them with my dad when I'm visiting.
I am hoping to get some advice as to brand name and model name of a good lure for walleye fishing on Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee.

What I would do is check with a couple of local bait shops to find out what people use around there.
Does he like to troll, cast or jig?

I live in Washington State, and my folks live in Tennessee, so the local bait shop thing is out of the question.

Get a local listing of bait shops or sporting goods stores. Ask to talk to someone in the Fishing department and ask away. I'm sure any sportsman would be glad to help you in a noble your qwest for your father.

Because the fish in different areas prefer varying baits/lures, you might see if you can just get a gift certificate to a local bait shop or even Bass Pro or Cabelas. He might have some favorites that he has his eye on.
