French River

Hey just wondering if anyone has fished the French River near the end of October before? I am going to be up on the lower french from the 21st to the 25th and was wondering if anyone had some tips on presentations or spots or whatever? I am staying in Bears Den Lodge for the week! Should do well! I hope!

Try short line trolling Crombie bay i hear thats a good spot in the fall.

When you leave Bear's Den....Head to the right towards Wahnapitae Bay..you will see 3 inlets on the left...keep going pas till you reach the island....after the island head up in to the Bay but stay to the right...You will see a small island with 2-3 smaller islands around it...One side of the island(shore side) is 3-4ft deep full of weeds...as you come across the point its about 15t...and the side that you come in on is 60 ft...The last time I was there I had 2 hits..Missed :( ...and many follows...all around the deep side of the island....I am not to worried about you stealing all my fish as I will be there from Oct 13-18..

Also...I dont know if you have ever stayed at the Bears Den Lodge...But they are "AWESOME" folks...

If you read this tell them I am spreading the word...and they will know me by the fact that they had to tow my broken boat out of the water the last time i was there...

They will also tell you that the biggest musky of the year will come out of Wahnapitae bay...

Alright good luck up on the french I am sure I will find out how you did when I get there! I will post how I did when I get home lets hope we both hoist up a couple pigs for pictures!
