The Twin Cities chapter of Muskies Inc is holding a benefit auction for Smokey Swenson. Donations are coming in!! Thank You for your genourosity! I don't think that I'll be able to post all the donations as I expect that most will arrive the night of the auction. You'll just have to stop out and see what's availible! So far we have;
1.) Full day of guided fishing from Larry Ramsell! Come fish with the Muskie Historian himself!
2.) Garmin GPS 2plus g.p.s. unit
3.) Boat Buddy Trailer hitch lock. This allows you to drive your boat on the trailer all the way up to the bowstop and then it automatically locks the boat to the bowstop. Your wife will love it! She won't have to wade in the water to hook the bowstrap up to the boat anymore! LOL
4.)Graphite Reproduciton Fish Mount from FiberTech Reproductions. This item is a $200.00 minimum bid. The maximum length of fish reproduction is 55 inches. I have seen their work, they do a great job!
5.)Custom lure from Divani
6.)Minnkota Powerdrive electric bowmount trolling motor with flat foot pedal. 12volts 36lbs thrust. It's used but in good condition.
7.) Big Big lure! A 30 inch long replica of a Rapala minnowbait in firetiger. Hang this on the wall in your trophy room next to that 50 incher.
8.) Hughes River Jerkbait
9.) Custom "Eddie VanHalen" Jerkbaits from Todd Cleveland at Phantom/Oddesy Lures. Todd says that these are 2 of a kind lures and he won't make anymore after this. I haven't seen them so I don't know what they look like, but considering his excellent paint jobs, I'm sure that these baits Rock!!
10.) Two new Abu Garcia 6500c3 reels from Rob Manthei
11.) 1 new Abu Garcia Abumatic 275 reels from Ray Alexander at Ray's Landing Bait and Tackle in St.Germain Ws.
12.) Custom lure package from MuskyTreats!
We have also received cash/check donations. Thank You for those as well!

I would like to make a donation from Kentucky Mountain Muskies
1) A full week's lodging on the Cave at Mountain Muskie Lodge
2) 2 Days guided fishing on the Cave with Cave Run Guide Service
1 day with me and the other with our guide Scott Salchli
3) 1 Day guided fishing in Norteastern Wisconsin with me and my new service...Muskies Up North Fishing Adventures with Tony Grant
I will be guiding in the Nortwoods from Memeorial Day to Labor Day
Smokey is one of my favorite people in the muskie industry.
Before the PMTT Smokey put me on an area that had very little presuure and produced action from 12 muskies for me pre-fishing and during the tournament. Kevin Nash and I pre fished and raised a very good fish from this spot, Kevin caught it at noon the second day of the Tournament to qualify him for the Championship(47 3/4).
Kevin thanks you Smokey.
I talked with Smokey today and he must be doing better, he quoted
(I only chase the nurses that I think I can catch, not like muskies.)
