A walleye fishing friend has asked if my family would like to go with them to Lac Seul next August. I know it is a good walleye lake, but how about Muskies? He told me he thought they were in there and a lot of guys fish the north arm? Has anybody ever fished Lac Seul for Muskies? Are there any other good muskie lakes around Lake Seul? Any help would be appreciated as I only get one week at a resort next summer so I am trying to decide if this is where I want to go. Thanks, Joe

Hey dude, you couldn't go wrong with the Lac. I have been going there for 3 years now and the biggest our party has got is 54 inches! We catch at least one hog every trip and see many others. The Lac is one of the all time greats as far as ski's go. I have been to Eagle and I rank Lac as a better lake. be careful though, it is big water.

Thanks for the info. Is it true that you have to drive forever out on the lake to get to the good spots? north east arm? Are there any lures, colors or patterns that you would recommend? Any help is great. Thanks, Joe email= twohirtes@aol.com

It's about 45-55 miles by water to get to real trophy water. Thats assuming you leave from Deception Bay Landing. You might consider an outpost cabin(still 50 mi. by water to get there.)
Yeh, you could put several'Big Chips' in some of the bays.

Thanks for all of the tips/suggestions. We are all set up for the last week of July. If a guy drives all the way to Chamberlain narrows or Bear narrows will the boat have enough gas? I have a 40 gallon tank. Any lures should make sure to bring? Thanks, Joe

I run a 150 and feathered back, it takes me approx.12-15 gal. You can take extra gas with you if you want to save money...I've taken as much as 30 gal...but you also have to figure the extra weight and space could be a tradeoff. I average 12-13 gal use/day while there.
