I really don't understand why people fight so much in a sport that is meant to be a relaxing hobby. What causes it? Is it all about money or do these people really not like each other? I have to admit that from a train wreck perspective it's fun to watch at times. It just seems to get a little personal sometimes.

Actually, there is NOT alot of money in the muskie business. There are very few people making a full-time living in the muskie world and those that are, are pretty protective of it.

I think that you saw these same types of clashes 20 years ago in the bass world when tourneys started to go big-time. Annnnd you are seeing some (though not as many) in the walleye world as their tourneys become richer. Hmmm, starting to see a trend here, is it maybe, that money really is the root of all evil?

Then, there are a few folks that just don't like others....

Well, let's see. Someone finds inconsistencies with a research project you're working on -- that should cause some harsh feelings. In addition, I agree that money has or is causing alot of problems. I say, who cares, it's not my problem.

Mike, I take exception to what you are saying. Meet me out back of this message board and let's settle our differences.:+

Actually, we have a growing sport that is taking of in all sorts of directions. Changes are being made, new faces coming in and it does not always set well with some people who now have to share the sport with so many others. Opinions vary on how things should be done and run.

Yes, but he also invented Musky Websites and the board forums too....
THAT's why it is HIS fault!!

Basically because people are born empty...as the years go by they are filled with wrongful desires, such as the need to be right...by the light of a silvery moon (old age) their heads have become as big as their bu++s, and will fight over the last dead minnow in an OLD PAL BAIT BUCKET; friends from childhood, yet they part in anger as their years left here are drastically less than they previously had been, and even less than yesterday, when all my troubles seemed so far away...oh I believe in yesterday, I just can't remember as much as today. Ask Felix the Cat, he can answer us best.......

..If you think about the fish most people fish for and the people that fish for them, it seems like they might take on the personality of the fish. I know this may sound wierd but think about it. The crappie fisherman are calm cool and colected. The bass fisherman are somewhat home bodies and can get a little excited at times. The muskie guy seems to get alittle nasty and arrogant at times. Mine was bigger, I saw more fish than you, I landed one (usually about 1 to 5 pounds bigger), I hope you can understand what I'm getting at. The musky is the king of all fresh water fish and I think the fisherman thinks he's the king of all fisherman.
