Just curius how everyone catches fish in this cold water. Casting, trolling or jigging? What speed were you trolling? How deep do you troll?

The general rule is to troll with big lures between 2-4 mph just off the first deep break. Sometimes the fish forget to read the rule book though. I know of guys who catch fish at over 6 mph, and guys who "connect the dots" across open water between their favorite spots and catch big fish. (Jack Burns) Just getting out on the water when it's this cold is an accomplishment in itself, and I feel the fish should do us a favor and jump in the boat as we put it in the water.
