Hi All. My fishing partner and I have fished a few MWC tournaments in the past few years. We are planning on fishing the entire MWC circuit this year. However, I need some ideas on ways to raise some extra cash to help support fishing the entire MWC this year. I know money is probably tight for everyone, but I need some ideas on how some of you support your tournament fishing. I work full time already so would only be avaialable to do things at night and on weeknds. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Computer consulting is where my extra funds come from. If you have a sellable trade, that's where I would start. You may also consider selling all of your old used 'toys' on ebay.

I rep for some fishing companies on the side. I do demos, product education and seminars.

Every time you go to the store or bank pick up a roll of quarters if you have an extra ten bucks to spare.........if you are like me I don't spend change it just accumulates on the dresser or in the change jar............after awhile it adds up..........unless you have a severe problem of stopping by a casino on your way home from work and dumping into the quarter slots.........
Another thing that really helps which affects all of us in one way or another is to cut out useless spending.......my fishing partner likes to buy a couple of bottles of pop along with Cigarettes everyday........sodas cost 1.09 for mountain dew and cigs cost close to 3.50 or 4.00 bucks..........do the math it adds up.........or at least buy in bulk it saves in the long run...........

My plastic never seems to run out! Build it up in the summer pay it off in the winter. Starving your kids helps too.
Seriously though, when you pick up new spending habits you have to cut back somewhere else. My cutbacks were Indians baseball tickets and winter bowling leagues. Cigarettes will have to be next cause I'm running out of other things to cut back on.
some of the 'boys' have their wife listed as a sponsor. seriously, it does take a total family committment.
unfortunately, my ex-wife doesn't seem to want to cooperate....and i haven't met my sponsoring new wife yet...

Having fished our first circut last year we found ourselves in the same neck of the woods you are in..funding or lack there of. As was mentioned in earlier posts side jobs can add up and help ( I lay tile on the side) as well we went out and got some sponsership.
Now being that the "industry" dollars are hard to come by we took a different route, we looked for local companies that all have something in common. For us it turned out to be a Mortgage, Insurance, Builder/Contractor and a Realty company. In was a tough sell at first but we were able to show some benfits of having a common sponsered party, bottom line they are adding an extra sales force to their efforts. Our boats/ trucks and shirts all bear their logos and we are always trying to send someone their way.
SO thanks to Fidelity Building and Remodeling/ Oakwood Insurance / Remax/ Chris Fritch Realty and GSF Mortage we will be on the circuit this year
Go luck to you.
