Ok, before anyone sees the title and decides that it is pretty open to all types of comments of all types of degrees, please remember that site admin has access to IP address from every post-so play nice:+ . I'm new to this area (Kalamazoo, MI) and I'm looking for someone who knows the layout of the fishing places and tricks of fishing (any type, i.e. ice, walleye, steelhead, etc.) I will pay more than my fair share of anything we do and even spring for the beer, etc. So, if anyone needs a fishing partner or they are sick of their current one, let me know.

Marc, Kalamazoo area has many many great lakes for walleye fishing. I'm not sure if there is a local walleye club or not but you could check out the local sportsman's organizations and probably find some people willing to help show you some tricks. I'm up in Holland and fish mostly Lake Macatawa. We catch all the usual gamefish here including Muskie's! There is a Walleye Tournament Series run by American Tackle Outfitters in Holland for the months of June, July, and August with the Championship in Sept. If you can find a partner by mid-June, think about joining us in our misery. This is one tough lake to catch fish on, but the ones you do catch are usually quite nice. Usually takes at least a 7 lb.'er to win the big fish pot. Lots of time it's a legitimate 10 !!! If you would like more information on this lake you can e-mail me at "good36@chartermi.net". Stop in the local sporting goods stores in Kazoo and ask some questions about the area lakes and where and when for your favorite species,, they'll help you out. Any other specific questions on set-ups or techniques we can answer here for you too.

Supertroller,
Thanks for the info. Hopefully I can hook up with someone and be able to make it into the tourney. My wife has relatives in Fennville which I guess isn't that far from Holland, so maybe I'll get some info some time from you on that lake.
