The day is fast approaching, and for sake of organization, I'd like to get a roll call of those that are coming to Watertown.
The plan for food on Saturday:
A couple guys have said that they'll bring portable grills, and I'll bring brats, hot dogs, and an appropriate amount of potatoe salad, paper plates, spoons, etc. (Part of why I need to know who's coming) I'll just keep track of what I spend on food, and we'll charge per plate or something to even the cost out.
The ice is getting thicker, I've seen a couple trucks parked on the ice along shore in the last 2 days, and reports of ice in the 10-12 inch range in some of the smaller lakes and ponds. The east end of Pelican is picking up for perch and walleyes a bit (from what I'm told, I can't verify it) and the ice is 7 inches there. Temps are supposed to be downright cold for at least the next few days, so it'll make some good ice in the next week.
A couple questions that have come up:
ice houses do not need licenses in SD
3 day nonresident license is $30, annual is $59
Kids under 16 do not need a license
The 10 perch/bluegill limit will be in place officially as of 1/1/02, but the posession limit is still 50.
For those that need them, you can purchase fishing licenses at Little River City on hwy 212 in town.
A couple people have emailed me in the last couple days, but the email has come through the message board, and it does not include a return address, so I can't reply. If I didn't respond to you yesterday or today, please email me again at eyez@dotplanet.com, so I know who to reply to.
ROLL CALL!
