Boys:

Besides being absolutely the best place to take your family for a swim, I know it produces beautiful muskies. I have yet to get one on Clear L. and I'd appreciate any help. I'll be on the Chain May 31-June 7, 2003. And yes, I'll slide back into the water without distress, gauranteed. Take care,

Jaws, I live right by the chain and fish it often. That time of the year I would head to Fawn and Wild Rice. Clear will be to cold yet and it makes for a hard bite unless we get a very warm spring.
That time of year I do best on twitch baits and small bucktails. The 5" slammer in perch pattern does very well. Make sure to let it come to a complete stop before each twitch. When it comes to bucktails brass blade with orange works best for me. Rizzo tails work very well that time of year also. It also help if you have a rod to get the lure out there. The water will be very clear yet and your movement will be noticed, especially on those bluebird days. Good luck.
