Now that some of the openers have come and gone, do we have any feedback on the new Legend Elite rods by St. Croix.

Balance, sensitivity, on the water fish catching -- compared to any other rods????

Thanks very much

Rew,

It's the best rod I have ever owned. My partner is probably getting sick of me saying "WOW, this rod is sooooo sensitive"...lol I have the Avids too, and the Elite is noticably more sensitive.

You can feel everything on this rod. Let me put it this way. We were fishing an area that had some bullrush growing, and at this time of year it more resembles large blades of lawn grass. I could feel every blade as I passed a timber jig through it! I can't say enough about this rod...strong, sensitive...well balanced.
I was lucky enough to get a discounted price through work though. I would still find spending 300.00 bucks on a rod a little hard to do. Even this one. Now, if I were rich, I would have an arsenal of them!! Just my Opinion.

Have a good day!

LAST EDITED ON May-09-00 AT 10:31PM (CST)[p]Rew,
Just fished with mine the first time this last weekend. One word - AWSOME!!!!!
They seem like they don't have a lot of power because they are so light. Unbelievable, I couldn't believe how much power they have. I can't wait to get a big walleye on them.
I have two of the 5S60MLF's custom made for me. Well worth the money. I teamed them up with two Pinnacle DNF30's. I could fish all day with these rods. I also have a 6'6" SCIV ML that was custom made and I loved that one until I got these.
